Take your time and take a look at the key Scriptures and meditate on each step in the cycle. Bring before God the people and the issues the Holy Spirit places upon your heart as you pray before God and with the Scriptures open.


The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. Philippians 4:23

Gracious Father and Almighty God,
Please receive my words and the desires of my heart with pleasure. I love you and want your will to be done in my life today.
You have so richly lavished your grace upon me, please receive back my adoration, praise, thanks, and concern.
As in days gone by, please work your will with might this week.


GRACE

Glorify Your Name
God's name, His person and power, majesty and might are without compare. Yet despite the incredible emphasis on praise, glory, honor, and adoration being given to God throughout Scripture, many Christians today do not enjoy this liberating and invigorating dimension of prayer.
You are encouraged to join the angels around God's throne in praise, sharing the following praises to God out loud as you begin this time of prayer!
Ascribe to the LORD, O mighty ones, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
(Psalm 29:1-2)
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
(Psalms 8:1)
You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.
(Revelation 4:11)
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
(Romans 11:33)

Most Holy God, I glorify your name and praise you for who you are and what you have done.
You alone are holy and worthy of praise.
I honor you as the true and living God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.


GRACE
Renew My Passion
Passion is so easily lost, while mediocrity is so easily found. We often forget that we are in a spiritual war and lose our edge, our zeal, our passion for living dynamic, positive, godly lives.
For me to be all that God wants me to be today, I must be energized with a holy passion to do his work no matter the circumstances. These scriptures help us focus more closely on God's power to restore, renew, and revive us to do his will.
Let me hear joy and gladness... Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. (Psalm 51:10-12)We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. ... How shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation! (Hebrews 2:2-3)
Restore us, O God; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved. Revive us and we will call on your name. (Psalm 80:3, 18) Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Father, I pray that you ignite my heart by the power of your Holy Spirit so that I may live with passion for you this day.
Help me to pursue your holy excellence and spurn mediocrity.
Renew me and renew your church so that we may live vibrant lives before the watching world.


GRACE
Accept My Repentance
We find it so hard to admit that we are wrong. Yet coming into the presence of a pure and holy God reminds us how we do not stack up.
But being aware of our shortcomings, and even being sorry for our failures, is not God's goal in our life. He wants us to return from sorrow at sin to joy in obedience. Repentance is not being sorrow, but being committed to turn our hearts and lives and actions to him.
For this is what the high and lofty One says-- he who lives forever, whose name is holy.
"I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of contrite." (Isaiah 57:15)
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, you Father will not forgive you. (Matthew 6:14-15)
Have mercy on me, O God,
According to your great compassion blot out all my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. (Psalm 51:1-2)
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:11-12)

Holy and righteous God, I come before you not only as a sinner, but also as a seeker longing to live for you.
Please accept my confession of sin as I turn my heart back to you today and pledge to live for you in all I do and say.


GRACE
Care for the Broken
When we look around us, we see people who are broken and besieged by life's difficulties. Rather than growing calloused to the overwhelming needs of the broken, we are called to action and prayer. One without the other is insufficient and unfaithful. God longs to minister to the broken, but his hands and feet and heart are found in us.
"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)Piety that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look afer orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)
Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds -- his name is the LORD -- and rejoice before him. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing. (Psalm 68:4-6) "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?"
"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 25:37-40)

O gracious Father, please shower your grace on those I love who struggle with sin, who are broken by life's problems, beset by disease, and caught in trying circumstances.
I pledge to minister to their needs as I ask you to comfort, heal, strengthen and mend in ways my words and deeds cannot.


GRACE
Empower Your Word
God's Word is a powerful tool. The Holy Spirit can use it to do surgery on our hearts and help us more fully understand God's will.
God longs for his Word, used by His Spirit, to bring revival to our world. We can help release its power by praying for the servants of God's word to speak with power and conviction, with sensitivity and grace, so that it may touch the hearts of those who do not know Jesus and God's saving love.
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ... Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. (Colossians 4:2-4) For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the person of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. (Ephesians 6:18-19)

O God, I ask you to make your word powerful on my heart. Convict and change me so that I may be brought into conformity with your will.
Please empower you Word in our world. Enable your servants to use it to redeem the lost, strengthen the faithful, encourage the doubting, and convict the rebellious.
